You list items from your existing Etsy (or other marketplace) shop. Other sellers do the same. When two sets of items match in value within a 15% tolerance, you can swap — each side ships their pieces directly to the other. No money changes hands, no marketplace fees, no listing fees.
No. Swappair is free to join and free to use during the early-access period. The whole point is to trade what you have for what you want without spending more on inventory, fees, or ads.
Each item carries the price you already use on your marketplace. Our matching engine only proposes swaps where the totals on both sides are within a 15% range, so neither seller comes out short. You always get the final say before approving a swap.
Both sellers ship in parallel and confirm receipt in the platform — until both confirm, the swap is "active" not "completed". If one side fails to ship, the swap is flagged, the receiving seller can mark it disputed, and we step in to investigate. Sellers also build a verified swap track record, so trust compounds over time.
Not at all. Swappair imports a copy of your public listings. Your Etsy shop keeps running normally — items only become unavailable on Swappair when they sell out on Etsy. Listing on us is purely additive.
During signup we scan your public Etsy shop, import your active listings (titles, photos, prices, descriptions), and create a parallel shop on Swappair. The whole process takes a couple of minutes — you don't re-photograph anything or rewrite a single description.
