This is a drop-in replacement for EB-3 basses.
Build with highest quality components and as tidy as possible for easy installation.
The settings on the rotary switch are as follows:
1 Neck pickup
2 Bridge pickup
3 Neck + bridge pickup
4 Neck pickup with scooped sound
The Early EB-3's had the filter for the scooped sounds always in the circuit and the sound of these EB-3's was fun but to most people not very usable.
My loom is based on the 70's version of the EB-3 circuit where the scooped sound is only active in position 4.
Many builders use small inductions for the scooped sound but this loom has a huge induction just like the original Gibson inductions. The inductions are expensive parts but we don't care because it enhances the sound so much!
Optional push-pull pots can be added for a Jack Bruce style passive overdrive with soft clipping vintage germanium diodes.
Optional push pull pots can be added for series parallel switching for 4-conductor pickups like the Dimarzio Model One.
The pots used are CTS split shaft fine spline (24 knurles) for use with USA knobs.
If you have metric push-on knobs as used on Epiphones please contact me so I can build you a loom with Alpha or Bourns pots with course spline (18knurles) shafts.
Also for buget guitars I am designing a budget loom where the bridge pickup takes up the role of the induction in position 4.
This loom will be added to the shop at the end of this year.
