Super high quality Jazzbass upgrade control plate with a humbucker switch.

These jazz bass plates offer a fantastic feature: the series switch.
The bass keeps it's original sounds and adds a completely new sound a fat and loud humbucker sound with the flick of a switch.

This series sound plate can be built in 3 different ways:

1) With a push-pul pot: The bass sounds and looks just like a standard JB. When the push-pull pot is pulled up the fat sound is released. Nobody knew what happened πŸ™‚

2) With a mini toggle. Very logical and easily accessed. Can be operated super fast and easy, even mid-song.

3) With a 4-way rotary pickup selector switch. This replaces the two volumes with one master volume. It looks just like a normal Jazzbass but sounds quite different. When you go from two to one volumes pickup loading and tone sucking is eliminated for a quite large part and this is audible and is usually experienced as "lifting a blanket from the sound" or the "sound opening up".

V12B tone control:
All bass and guitar wirings can be fitted with a V12B tone control.
The V12B tone control gives your bass an enormous range of extra sounds.
In 12 steps decreasing the high tones and adding mids without the sound losing definition.
In bypass it adds some brightness because it is completely out of the system, unlike conventional tone controls that are never fully turned off and always suck a bit of tone away.

Watch V12B tone control demo here:

Save money and reuse your existing JB control plate and order a loom only. (DIY drill a hole for the mini toggle)
Or buy the complete wiring mounted on a Jazz bass control plate.

Reusing plates from basses made in EU or Asia often requires widening the holes for the pots and jack. Use a 10mm or a 3/8 drill bit and screw the plate to a large piece of wood. Especially in iron plates the drill bit can bite, get stuck and slap the plate agaings your fingers creating bad injuries. If you are not experienced drilling in metal we recommend you buy a loom malted on a plate or let an expert do the drilling. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or injuries.

All looms and plates come with wiring instructions, shrink tube.

Handwired with Bourns Pro-audio potentiometers, 1/4" solid shaft. Allparts and Fender brass control plates, Rean jack, Alpha rotary switches, toggles, and vintage style cloth covered wire.
Knobs included!
